Board of Directors

Richard J Barber, AIF®, AAMS®, CMFC®, Director

RJ is the Director of the Binghamton Investment Fund and Zurack Trading Room. He also serves as a Financial Advisor at Lesko Financial Services. Formerly, he served private clients as a Wealth Management Advisor & Financial Planner for Visions Investment Services, a division of Visions FCU, as well as is the Chairman of the Visions Investment Services Community Impact Fund. RJ has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and maintains numerous securities registrations, insurance licenses, and professional designations from across the industry.

Katie Bennorth, Equities Portfolio Manager

Katie is the Equities Portfolio Manager. She is a junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems, with a minor in History. Katie is the President of the PwC Scholars program. She has held internships in Equity Research with Jefferies covering Restaurants and at Goldman Sachs as a Transaction Banking Analyst. She will be joining Equity Research at Morgan Stanley next summer. She has previously studied abroad at The London School of Economics and enjoys Formula One, volleyball, and baking. 

Bethany Goldstein, Alternatives Portfolio Manager

Bethany is the Alternatives Portfolio Manager. She is a junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Business Analytics. She is on the Executive Board for Women in Finance. She has held an internship in Corporate Finance at Prudential Financial. She will be joining Houlihan Lokey's Private Funds group next summer. Her interests include concerts, traveling, and movies.

Jack Margolius, Board of Directors

Jack is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Fixed Income Sector Head within the Alternatives sleeve. He is a junior, majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has held internships with Argo Partners in Sales & Trading, Hedgeye Risk Management, and Jefferies Equity Research where he covered Gaming, Lodging. He will be joining Barclays Equity Research next summer. Jack’s interests include hockey, skiing, and golf.

Jake Byrne, Board of Directors

Jake is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Materials Sector Head. He is the Vice President of Markets Recruiting for the Binghamton Finance Society. He is a Junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. He will be joining Equity Research at KBW next summer. His interests include the New York Jets, Chelsea, and Breaking Bad.

Bradley Smith, Board of Directors

Brad is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Sector Head of the Consumer Discretionary Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Previously, he has held internships in Accounting with JK Tobin Construction and Accounting at Legrand North America. He will be joining Investment Banking at Nomura next summer. His interests include golf, hockey, biking, and traveling

Matthew McGoldrick, Board of Directors

Matthew is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Sector Head of the Energy Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has held internships at Sakira LLC, a search fund focusing on vertical software, and at Wolfe Research, a sell-side Equity Research Firm. He will be joining Investment Banking at Piper Sandler next summer in their Financial Services Group. His interests include golf, tennis, movies, and the Green Bay Packers.

Aidan Milroy, Board of Directors

Aidan is a member of the Board of Directors, and a senior studying economics with a specialization in financial economics. Previously, he spent two years in the healthcare sector before becoming sector head of the financials sector. He has held an internship at Morgan Stanley within their Private Wealth Management Division, and is looking to pursue his Masters of Science in Data Analytics upon graduation. Some of his personal interests include playing the piano/cello, golf, traveling abroad, hiking, and his dog.

 
 

Equities Sector Heads

Denis Sadrijaj, Communication Services

Denis is the Sector Head of the Communications Services Sector.  He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance.  He is also the Vice President of Investment Banking Recruiting for the Finance Society.  He has previously held internships in Equity Research at Jefferies, and Credit at Metropolitan Commercial Bank.  He will be joining Investment Banking at JP Morgan next summer.  His interests include Peaky Blinders, soccer, weight lifting, and ice cream.

Bradley Smith, Consumer Discretionary

Brad is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Sector Head of the Consumer Discretionary Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. Roman Charan, Consumer Staples: Food & Beverage

Roman is the Sector Head of the Food & Beverage Sector. He is also the Vice President of Alumni Relations for the Finance Society. This is his second year on the Executive Board. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He is the Consumer Staples Sector Head for the Binghamton Investment Fund. He will be joining Investment Banking at Houlihan Lokey next summer. His interests include traveling, working out, and music.

Joseph LoRubbio, Consumer Staples: Household & Personal Products

Joseph is the Sector Head of the Consumer Staples Personal and Household Products sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has previously held internships in Equity Research at Jefferies and in Financial Consulting at Berkeley Research Group. He will be joining Investment Banking at Raymond James next summer in their Capital Structure Advisory group. His interests include Basketball, Running, and Love Island.

Matthew McGoldrick, Energy

Matthew is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Sector Head of the Energy Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. James Scherer, Financials

James is Sector Head of the Financials Sector. He is a senior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in finance. He has held an internship at Driver Up Auto Hedge Fund working on the auto loan ABS portfolio strategies. This upcoming semester he will be interning at Jefferies Equity Research on the Materials team. His interests include golf, football, and the New York Yankees.

Garce Spoto, Healthcare

Grace is a Junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Management Information Systems. She is the sector head of the Healthcare Sector of the Investment Fund and previously interned with Jefferies in their Equity Research Division on the Restaurants team. This summer, she participated in Girls Who Invest as a Summer Intensive Program Scholar, and next summer, she will be interning with Morgan Stanley in Equity Research. In her free time, Grace enjoys going to the beach, rollerblading, crocheting, and doing hot yoga.

Thomas Ujfalvi, Industrials

Thomas is the Industrials Sector Head for the Binghamton Investment Fund. He is the Vice President of Education for the Binghamton Finance Society. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance. He has held an internship at Sakira LLC, a search fund focusing on vertical software. He will be joining Investment Banking at Guggenheim Partners next summer. His interests include basketball, ABBA, Star Wars, the Philadelphia Eagles, and traveling.

Jake Byrne, Materials

Jake Byrne is a member of the Board of Directors and is the Materials Sector Head. He is the Vice President of Markets Recruiting for the Binghamton Finance Society. He is a Junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. He will be joining Equity Research at KBW next summer. Melanie Luque, Real Estate

Melanie is the Sector Head of the Real Estate Sector. She is a junior majoring in business administration with concentrations in finance and management information systems. Melanie is on the executive board of the Women in Finance Development Program. She has participated in the Girls Who Invest Summer Intensive Program and held an internship in Private Equity at TPG covering Internet, Digital Media, and Communications. Next summer, she will be joining Sales & Trading at Bank of America. Her interests include music, fashion, hiking, and her dog.

Andino Caminiti, Utilities & Renewables

Andino is the Sector Head of the Utilities & Renewables Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration, with a concentration in Finance, and a minor in German Studies. This past summer, he interned at PineBridge Investments in their Private Funds Group. His interests include golf, reading, Scorsese films, traveling, and vinyl

Alix Masse, Technology

Alix is the sector head of the Technology sector. He is a junior double-majoring in Math: Actuarial Sciences and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance as well as minoring in Spanish. Last summer, Alix interned at AIG in their Healthcare Claims division and next summer, he will be doing investment banking at Morgan Stanley in the Financial Institutions group. Some of his personal interests include playing soccer, tennis, surfing, and poker.

 
 

Alternatives Sector Heads

Samuel Brugger, Commodities

Sami is the Commodities Asset Class Head of the Binghamton Investment Fund and a Senior Analyst in the Energy Sector. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with a concentration in Finance and Management Information Systems. Previously he interned in the Financial Wellness department at Visions Federal Credit Union and was a member of the Finance Development team of Financial Literacy for the Youth (FLY). His interests include weightlifting, playing guitar, surfing, traveling, and One Piece.

Theo D'Onofrio, Credit

Theo is the Asset Class Head of Credit. He is a junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. Outside of the investment fund, he is a Junior Vice President of the Dean's Mentoring Program and a member of the PwC Scholars Program. He has held internships as an Investment Analyst at Still Lake Capital and in Credit Research at Octagon Credit Investors. He will be joining Investment Banking at Société Générale next summer. His interests include weightlifting, The Sopranos, One Piece, reading and filmmaking.

Yoni Menasha, Emerging Markets

Yoni is junior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in finance and business analytics. He has held an internship at Chestnut Holdings working on the commercial real estate side of the business. This upcoming semester he will be interning at Jefferies Equity Research on the Restaurants team. On campus, he is on the executive board of the Sports Management Group and a part of the EY Scholars Program. His interests include cooking, golf, and the San Francisco 49ers. 

Ari Wechsler, Treasuries

Ari is the Asset Class Head of Treasuries. He is a junior pursuing a dual degree in Mathematics and Business Administration with a concentration in Finance, and is the President of the Men’s Club Ultimate Frisbee team. He is interning in Equity Research at Jefferies this fall, covering Technology, Media, and Telecom. His interests include hiking in the Adirondacks, snowboarding, Manchester City, and The Bear.

Shayna Nguyen, Currenices

Shayna is the Currencies Asset Class Head on the Alternatives Sleeve. She is a senior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and MIS. Previously she was the sectorhead of the real estate sector. She has held internships in Equity Research at Barclays and participated in the Girls Who Invests Online Intensive Program. This past summer, she interned on the telecommunications Equity Research team at JPMorgan where she will be returning full time. Her interests include trying new restaurants, reading, and traveling.

Emily Milone, Asset-Backed Securities and Mortgage-Backed Securities

Emily is the Asset Class Head for Asset-Backed Securities and Mortgage-Backed Securities. She is a senior majoring in Business Administration with concentrations in Finance and Management Information Systems. She has previously interned in Equity Research at Jefferies, in Sales at Schroders, and in the Sales & Trading division at Bank of America. She will be returning to Bank of America in their Global Markets division after graduation. Her interests include reading, concerts, and theater.
